European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
SNCF, the French railway company, has announced the continuation of its restructuring programme in SNCF Fret, the freight division of SNCF. The French public railways company SNCF has announced that its budget forecast for 2008 will include 1,500 job losses. On 24 January 2008, there was a national strike in protest of the redundancies.
