Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
UK-based EMI Group, the leading music publisher, has announced that it is to cut between 1,500 and 2,000 jobs worldwide as a result of its restructuring plan. According to spokesman, the measures will be implemented within its Recorder Music division where roughly 4,500 people are currently employed. The company is to reduce costs by 200 million GBP per year.
