Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
PartnerTech, a manufacturer of electronic and mechanical products, has announced that it is to cut approximately 150 jobs primarily at production units in Sweden, Finland and the UK. The redundancies are a consequence of an internal restructuring programme aimed at adjusting costs to lower sales and streamlining operations. The implementation of the programme will save an estimated SEK 100 million on a full-year basis. PartnerTech employs 719 in Sweden, 180 in Finland and 281 in the UK.
