European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The automobile manufacturer Audi announced to create 800 new jobs in 2008. One third of the jobs shall be staffed with engineers. Furthermore, economists are needed for the company’s marketing, service and sales departments. The company stated that it will invest 10.6 billion euros into the extension of its production line. By 2015, Audi envisages to produce 40 car models, i.e. 15 more than nowadays.
