Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
TietoEnator, a Scandinavian firm that operates in the information technology sector, announced on 7 February 2008 that it is to create 560 new jobs in 2008 at its site in Ostrava. According to company's human resources specialist, 200 new positions are available for newly graduates.This is an update to a previous announcement. On 5 December 2007, the company announced its plans to create 400 new jobs at the Ostrava site by the end of 2008.
As of December 2007, the Ostrava site employed 1,100. Newspaper reports also stated that the firm had moved sections of its Scandinavian customer service operations to its Ostrava site in 2007.
