European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Saarstahl, a producer of steel, has announced that it is to create 350 to 400 new jobs in Völklingen with the development of a new site. The new jobs will be created by 2010, and the development of the new plant will involve an investment of 450 million EUR. The firm have attributed their expansion to the rising demand for steel products.
