Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Novacare, a firm that produces disposables nappies, has announced that it is to cut 189 jobs at its site in Laval-sur-Vologne. 580 are employed at the Laval-sur-Vologne plant, and the job losses will be implemented during 2008. Trade unions at the firm have requested technical experts to check the ‘viability’ of the restructuring plan. Novacare is a part of the U.S. owned Mattlin Patterson group.
