European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
SVT, the Swedish state owned television organization, has announced that it is to cut 500 jobs across Sweden. Management at the firm attribute the job losses to the need to cut costs in order to compete with commercial television and to spend more on the production of television programmes. The job losses will be implemented by 2012. SVT employs 3,000 in Sweden.
