European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Fielmann, a German optician that operates a series of retail outlets in Germany, has announced that it is to create 700 new jobs across Germany with the opening of 30 new retail outlets. The firm currently operates 590 outlets across Germany, and employs 12,000 at these sites. The firm has attributed the expansion to an increased demand for its products. The new jobs are due to be created by the end of 2007.
