European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
PV Alliance, a firm that manufactures solar cells and modules and that is a joint venture between Electricite de France (EDF) and Photowatt Technologies, has announced that it is to create 650 new jobs in Bourgoin-Jallieu with the development of a new site that will manufacture solar panels. The new site will involve an investment of 100 million EUR, and the new jobs will be created between January 2009 and December 2009. The announcement of the new jobs follows the French Prime Minister giving planning permission to the project.
