Description
Huawei Technologies Ltd, a Chinese telecommunications equipment provider, has announced that it will have created 450 new jobs in France between March 2007 and the end of 2008. The firm has operated in France since 2003, and employed 150 prior to the recruitment of the new employees in March 2007. A proportion of the new jobs were created with the opening of a research centre in Lannion in March 2007, and a second proportion will be created with the firm’s opening of a new headquarters for its western European operations in Cergy-Pontoise. As of October 2007, there is no information on how the new jobs will be distributed between the two sites.
