Description
Adeg, an Austrian firm that operates a series of food retail stores across Austria, has announced that it has closed 19 outlets and cut 190 jobs across Austria during October 2007. No explanations have yet been issued for the closures and job losses. All of those affected employees were directly dismissed, but approximately a quarter of the workers have already been placed by the Austrian Labour Market Service at other firms. As of 23rd October 2007, it is unclear whether further closures and job losses will be implemented by the firm.
