European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Manufacturer of metallic constructions, Ruukki Romania, part of Finish group Ruukki, invested EUR 35 million in a new production capacity near Bucharest.
According to the company representatives, the new plant is expected to reach during the summer of 2008 its maximum production capacity and will hire about 400 persons by the end of the year. At present Rukki Romania has approximately 100 employees and in 2006 the turnover was of EUR 15 million. In the last year the group recorded more than 11,000 employees and a turnover of EUR 4 billion.
