Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Elqotec Magyarország Kft., a subsidiary of a global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company in the communications technology field, is to hire 500-600 people from the end of September, increasing its current workforce to over 7000. The exact number of new employees has not been fixed yet. Assembly jobs will be offered to the population in Baranya county, as well as the neighbouring Somogy county. New employees will be hired on open-ended contract contracts. Job creation is a result of increased demand from the company's clients due to seasonal cycle. Az Elcoteq Magyarország Kft. has been operating in Hungary since 1998 with two units in Pécs and one in Cserkút, Baranya county, manufacturing 100 types of electronic equipment.
