OKULA Nýrsko, a Czech firm that primarily produces spectacle rims, is to open a new assembly hall for the production of plastic materials for the electro-technical and automobile sectors that will create 280 new jobs. The new hall will be based at the firm’s existing Nýrsko site, at which 470 are currently employed. The new hall will commence production on 25th July 2007. OKULA Nýrsko is also renowned for employing a significant amount of immigrant workers. The firm faces a shortage of skilled workers within the Czech Republic and subsequently employs approximately 150 agency workers from Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Vietnam.
