European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tatravagónka, a firm that manufactures railway rolling stock, is to create approximately 500 new jobs in Poprad. The new jobs are part of a strategy to expand production at the Poprad site, and will be created by the end of 2007. The announcement marks a change in the fortunes of the firm, who in 2005 cut several hundred jobs at the Poprad plant. Tatravagónka currently employs 1800 at its Poprad site.
