Description
Purac, a manufacturer of lactic acid-based food products and a subsidiary of the CSM Group, is to cut 160 jobs in the Netherlands. Purac employs 480 within the Netherlands, and will ‘offshore’ part of its production to locations in Thailand, Brazil and the U.S. The decision to cut the jobs will lead to the closure of the firm’s Gorinchem site and the sale of the Ter Apelkanaal site. As of September 2007, there is no information on when the job losses will be implemented by.
