Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
PKC Eesti, an affiliate of the Finnish group PKC and a producer of wiring harnesses for the automotive, telecommunications and electronics sector, has reported that it has created 112 new jobs in Estonia since August 2007. 73 employees have been recruited at the firm’s Keila site at which 770 are employed, whilst 39 have been hired at the firm’s Haapsalu plant where 470 are employed. At the Keila plant, the company is also looking to recruit engineers in the next few months. PKC has operated in Estonia since 1991.
