Description
La Bresse, a firm that processes meat products, has announced that it is to cut 68 jobs at its site in Mézériat. The firm, which employs 288 at its Mézériat plant, will implement the job losses between January and September 2008. The announcement of the 68 job losses follows negotiations between company management and the company works council. In September 2007, the firm outlined a plan to cut 128 jobs at the Mézériat plant due to falling sales of the firm’s products. However, after negotiations between management and the works council, the number of jobs lost has fallen to 68 jobs.
