Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ventinveste, consortium led by Galp Energia, has announced that it is to create 1327 jobs by developing eight wind power parks and an industrial "cluster" consisting of 15 manufacturing units. The new facilities are expected to produce 130 generators and 267 assemblies of turbines. This business expansion stems from the implementation of a contract signed between the Ventinveste consortium and the General Directorate of Energy and Geology ( Direcção Geral de Energia e Geologia – DGEG). The project involves a total investment of EUR 636 million over six years. As of September 2007, there is no information on when employment at the sites will commence and when the new jobs will be created by.
