European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Bekaert, a Belgian firm that produces wires and cords, is to create 100 new jobs at its site in Hlohovec. The firm employs 1100 at the Hlohovec site, and has operated at Hlohovec since 2003 when it acquired the Slovak firm Drótovne. It is expected that the new jobs will be created by the end of 2007. Bekaert also operate a second Slovakian plant at Sládkovičovo.
