Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Qisda, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese group BenQ that specialises in the production of electronic equipment, has opened a new plant in Brno that has created at least 700 new jobs. The new plant will produce LCD monitors and television screens. BenQ Group also operates two other sites in Brno at which 600 are employed. The opening of the new site in Brno is part of a plan by the BenQ Group to expand across Europe.
