Description
On 19 March 2007 the Danish manufacturer of refrigerators and freezers, Vestfrost in Esbjerg, announced that 240 employees will be dismissed as from July this year. The dismissals will take place in the frost box department, and their workplaces will be offshored to an EU country. The reason for offshoring are increasing prices on oil and metal - and lower labour costs in the new, so far not announced, EU country. At the end of 2006 Vestfrost dismissed 174 employees.
