Graffan Properties Ltd, a firm that develops hotels, is to open a new hotel in Belfast and create 100 new jobs. The Fitzwilliam Hotel will have 131 rooms and will involve an investment of 20 million GBP. Lord Mayor of Belfast Jim Rodgers said:
‘[The development of the hotel] means increased jobs for area residents, growth opportunities for local business owners and forward movement on a rejuvenated Belfast tourism trade,’
The hotel will be managed by Hotel Partners, a specialist hotel management company, and is expected to be open by February 2009.
