Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Johann A. Krause Polska, a firm that produces a range of components for the automotive industry, is to increase employment by 300 at its plant in Gdańsk. The firm is a part of the German group Thyssen Krupp AG, and currently employs 125 at the site in Gdańsk. The Gdańsk factory produces parts such as drives, transmissions, and axles for automobiles, and the increase in employment will take place between 2007 and the start of 2009.
