Henkel Romania, a subsidiary of the German household products producer Henkel, is to open a new plant in Campia Turzii that will employ 100-200. The new site will specialize in the production of adhesives, and it has been estimated that 20,000 tonnes of adhesives will be produced every month at the plant. An investment of around 10 million EUR will be made in the plant. Henkel Romania officials have announced that they expect the unit to be opened by mid-September 2007. The opening of the site at Campia Turzii will mark Henkel’s first Romanian investment outside of Bucharest. At their Pantelimon plant in Bucharest at which 260 are employed, the firm produces adhesives for ceramic tiles, insulation systems, sealants, and flooring products.
