Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French group Gecina announced on 2 July 2007 its plans to open a new storage site in Sablé sur Sarthe (Sarthe). Gecina France is investing 70 million Euro in a 140,000 square-metre logistics platform that is expected to create 450 new jobs between December 2009 and August 2012 and reflects the expansion needs of the group in Europe. Gecina Group is a France-based residential and commercial real estate company which is starting a new activity on logistics with the investment in Sablé sur Sarthe. The Group is principally engaged in the rental of commercial and residential properties. The majority of Gecina's properties are located in the Paris area, with a small percentage located in Lyon. In addition to a large number of private individuals, Gecinas's client base includes many international businesses and organisations from a wide range of sectors such as construction, luxury goods, government services, banking, information technology and insurance companies. Metrovacesa is the principal shareholder in Gecina Group, with a 68.76% stake.
