Description
The largest Slovenian company in gambling business Hit and U.S. based company Harrah’s Entertainment, signed a letter of intent to build a mega tourist-gambling resort in Nova Gorica in the North-Western Slovenia. The two companies will first found a joint venture company with 51% equity share of Hit and 49% share of Harrah’s. The value of the project is 750 million EUR. The company is expected to be operational in three years and will employ 3,200 employees. The project will contain a five-star hotel with 650 rooms, a four-star hotel with 850 rooms, a congress centre with 2,000 seats, restaurants, bars and clubs with 1,400 seats, 3,000 gambling machines, 120 gambling tables, wellness and spa centre on 12,000 m2 etc. Slovenian government agreed to make some adjustments in company and tax legislation to enable the realization of the project.
