Description

In the aftermath of Delphi’s closure in the Cadiz Bay area and in the framework of the plans of the Junta de Andalucia (Regional Government of Andalucia) to foster new businesses in order to minimise the negative consequences, the software and e-business company Sadiel announced plans to open up a new plant in Puerto Real. The 'shareholders' of Sadiel are the Junta de Andalucía, Endesa, Cajasol and Indra corporations and the group currently employs 960 people. The company is expecting to create 400 new jobs in Puerto Real by 2010, offering employment to part of the affected employees by Delphi’s restructuring. The new plant will be part of Sadiel’s partner company “Software factory”. This decision is part of Sadiel’s 2007-2010 Strategic Plan, which aims to increase its turnover from the current 73 to 120 million Euro in 2010.
