Description
Between June 1 and the end of 2007, BOT Górnictwo i Energetyka (BOT GiE) is implementing a voluntary redundancies programme. The programme is addressed to administrative staff at its two brown coal mines (Turów, Bełchatów) and three power plants (Bełchatów, Opole, and Turów). Those who step forward to take part will receive high severance payments; some 100 employees are expected to participate. When BOT GiE executed a similar programme in 2005 1,700 employees left work in exchange for large severance packages.
