Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Teleperformance, formerly SR.Teleperformance, strengthened its commercial partnership with SFR Service Client on 23 May 2007 and agreed to take-over two customer contact centers of SFR Service Client in Lyon and Toulouse employing all 1,306 staff: 582 in Lyon and 724 in Toulouse. Vivendi's mobile telephone unit SFR is planning to outsource another call centre to subcontractor Arvato Services. Both outsourcing agreements will take place between August and December 2007. Teleperformance has agreed to guarantee the jobs at the site 'for at least three years'. In 2006, the Teleperformance Group achieved 1.38 million Euro in revenues. The Group operates nearly 59,000 computerised workstations with more than 70,000 employees across 275 contact centers (including 93 contact centers directly managed in clients' premises) in 43 countries.
