Irisbus Iveco, a Franco-Italian manufacturer of motor vehicles, is to create 400-500 jobs at its Czech subsidiary Vysoké Mýto after it acquired the plant in early 2007. 1933 are currently employed at the plant at which buses are produced. The development of a new logistical centre at the Vysoké Mýto will create employment for 100 by the end of 2007, whilst the development of the plant’s production capacity will create jobs for 300-400 in the longer term. 100 million CZK will be invested in the new logistical centre and 200 million CZK will be invested in expanding the plant’s production capacity. The average monthly wage at the plant is 22 915 CZK.
