Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
300 new jobs are being created at EDF Energy in Exeter in Devon, it has been announced. The electricity and gas supplier has announced plans to expand its city office, where 1,100 customer service staff are already employed. Steve Hayfield, the account and revenue manager at EDF, says extra customers mean more staff are needed.
