European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Blika, the Danish manufacturer of storage units, is transferring its production from Esbjerg in Denmark to Trebišov in Slovakia. However, according to Blika's General Director Michael Godfredsen, the company’s logistics, marketing and sales will be still managed from Denmark. Trial production will start in April 2007 and around 100 new jobs will be created in the first stage of the investment. Modern robotized technology allows producing around 10,000 furniture units per year there. Blika project manager Finn Melgaard announced further expansion and new job creation in the region.
