Vestas, one of the leading companies in eolic energy in the world, is expanding its business in Daimiel, Ciudad Real. As announced on 23 February 2007, the company will invest 47 million euros in building a new plant to manufacture metal fans for windmills. The plant is expected to be finished by April 2008 and create 400 jobs. Vestas has confidence in Spain remaining an important, stable and growing market for alternative energies. Moreover, this expansion is part of Vestas commercial strategy to support eolic energy in the whole of the Mediterranean region.
