Description
Saint-Louis, the French sugar group owned by German Südzucker, announced on 13 February 2007 its decision to close down its cane sugar refining operations in Marseille. The closure will take place on 1 October 2008 and it is expected to result in the loss of 120 out of 240 jobs. No forced redundancies are planned.
The site's packaging activities are to continue.
