Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German Q-Cells, a leading European specialist in the development, production and sale of high-performance solar cells made of mono- and multicrystalline silicon, announced its plans to increase its workforce at its Thalheim location from current 1,300 employees to up to 5,000 by the end of the year 2010. These new jobs will include manufacturing jobs.
The company expects to create another 3,000 to 5,000 jobs in research and development in the years after.
