European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Technicolor site in Foetz, specialised in the production and replication of CDs and DVDs, is to be closed. As it was announced on 17 January 2007, production will be transferred to Poland. The government of Luxembourg has negotiated with the European management of Technicolor and the general management of the group Thompson since 2004 with the aim to keep the activity in Luxembourg or to implement alternative activities. But these attempts have failed. The management didn't give any further information. Most of the employees, 90%, are French citizens.
