European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
As many as 700 new jobs are to be created by supermarket giant Tesco in County Kildare, with 500 jobs to be created at a retail park, together with 200 new jobs at a huge new redeveloped Tesco store, which will be one of the largest supermarkets in the country. The new retail site will be called Carton Park, and it is hoped that it will attract well-known retailers, such as Next, Marks and Spencer and Debenhams. The new Tesco supermarket will see the existing store demolished and replaced by a megastore, which will be incorporated into the new Carton shopping centre.
