IBA, a Belgian company that delivers solutions in the fields of cancer diagnosis and therapy, is planning to hire around 250 people worldwide in 2007. More than 50% of this job creation will take place in Belgium. The company announced on 18 January 2007 that it is launching an ambitious expansion programme to meet the ever-increasing demand for Proton Therapy systems. The investment, in excess of 3 million euro, will entail an expanded production surface and the addition of new testing vaults at IBA's facility in Louvain-la-Neuve, near Brussels. With over 60% market share, IBA is the world's undisputed market leader in Particle Therapy.
