Description

The car component producer IAC (International Automotive Components Group) is going to cut a total 200 jobs at its plants in Göteborg, Skara, Tidaholm, Trollhättan, Färgelanda and Tanumshede. The decision, announced on 18 January 2007 and involving 10% of the workforce, is the first step of the rationalisation plan defined by the company to improve efficiency and cut costs. Further lay-offs could be announced in 2008. 'The measures are necessary to ensure employement within the Swedish branch of IAC Europe', wrote Marcus Nyman in press release.
