Description
The main activity of Sistemska Tehnika, a member of Viator Vektor group, was the production of armed vehicles for the Slovenian Army. During the recent period, Sistemska Tehnika developed a new type of armed vehicle hoping to get a big new order from the Slovenian Army (app. 263 million EUR). The deal with the Slovenian Army has never been realized as the Army ordered the armed vehicles from Finnish company, Patria. As a result, Sistemska Tehnika is facing some difficulties. The owner, Viator Vektor group, claims that the company needs comprehensive restructuring and that approximately 20% of 325 employees will loose their jobs in this process.
The latest information - from 2007-05-09 - says that the number of employees already decreased to 290 and will be further reduced to 250 by the end of 2007.
