Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Cadence Innovation is an automobile equipment supplier specialised in the manufacture of bumpers. As it was announced on 10 January 2007, four French factories in Noeux-les-Mines (Pas-de-Calais) Burnhaupt-le-Haut (Haut-Rhin), Pouancé (Maine-et-Loire), Vernon lEure) are in bankruptcy. They are going to be partially acquired by several companies. As a result of this, 550 jobs will be removed. The company currently employs 1,365 people in France.
