European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 13 December 2006, Mitec, a manufacturer of parts for motor vehicles and their engines, announced to create 170 new workplaces at its site in Eisenach. The new jobs shall be created till 2009. As part of its business expansion strategy, the establishment wants to invest 85 million Euro into the mentioned site to produce its new line of drive technologies. In 2005, Mitec employed approximately 900 people in Germany.
