Audimas, one of the biggest companies producing sports clothing in Lithuania, intends to open a new sewing subdivision in Alytus in December 2006. The company, which now employs 950 workers, will create 100 new jobs in Alytus. Audimas has already established its sewing subdivisions in Kaunas, Jonava, Taurage and Prienai in Lithuania. The part of the production of Audimas is produced for Lithuanian market but the biggest part of it is exported to the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, Russia and West European countries.
