Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The media group, the Berlingske Officin, which publishes the newspaper Berlingske Tidende, will lay down 350 jobs over the next two years. This was announced on 13 December 2006 by the management. The redundancies will affect all areas of the company but most of the job cuts are expected to affect administrative staff and the editorial offices of the newspaper. The reason for the retsructuring and the job cuts is the need to streamline the corporation economically.
