Description
Television manufacturer Sanyo is to make 100 workers redundant from its plant in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The firm employs 300 currently at the plant, and has blamed cheap imports from China and Turkey for their need to cut the workforce. The company said the reduction of the workforce will take place in stages and the first 30 staff will leave just after Christmas. A management spokesman said he hoped this would be the end of job cuts at the television factory.
