Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
According to Imre Szekeres, Hungarian Minister of Defence, close to 1,000 people will be dismissed from the Hungarian Air Force. The dismissals will affect signal units mainly, some of which will be closed down, such as the unit in Nagytarcsa. The garrison in Eger, Northern Hungary, will also be closed down and its employees will be relocated to another city in the Eastern part of the country. Parallel with the dismissals, the number of contracted soldiers in the army will be increased by about 5,000. In the future 10,219 soldiers will be employed at the land forces. Support units will have 2,500 people, while the Budapest support unit will employ 1,700 soldiers.
