Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 22 November 2006, the Capgemini group announced its plans to create 600 new jobs in Germany in 2007. Capgemini is one of the leading service providers in the sector of management and information technologies consulting. Approximately 250 of the 600 jobs to be created shall be placed within its department for consulting services. Another 350 new employees are needed for its technology services. 300 of them shall be recruited for Capgeminis affiliate sd&m. The recruiting of staff is part of the group's business expansion strategy and shall be completed by the end of 2007. The Capgemini group employs 61,000 persons worldwide, 3,732 of them in Central Europe.
