Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Tessenderlo group is an international chemicals group with more than 100 branches in 21 countries, headquartered in Belgium and with around 8,100 employees worldwide. Tessenderlo is the world and European leader in most of its product areas, i.e. chemicals, specialties and plastics converting.
In October 2006, the group announced a reorganisation plan that involves its plants located in European countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and United Kingdom). The plan envisages 134 lay-offs.
